About Sarasota Florida 

Sarasota is a city located in Sarasota County on the southwestern coast of Florida. It's current official limits include Sarasota Bay and several barrier islands between the bay and the Gulf of Mexico.

There are several islands that are part of Sarasota County. They are separated from the mainland Sarasota city by Sarasota Bay. These islands that are commonly known as keys include Siesta Key and Lido Key. And also the longest and most famous, Longboat Key, who's northern most point stretches into Manatee County. These keys are famous worldwide for the quality of their sandy beaches.

Sarasota is a widely known cultural mecca. It offers opera, plays, international cuisine restaurants and an active downtown, that has frequent, streetside art shows and musicians.
